IELTS is accepted by major countries like the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States of America and Australia. The IELTS results will be given as a band score on a scale from 0-9, where each band corresponds to a different proficiency and different grasp on the language. Absolutely, 0 is for new users of the language, while people who score 9 are expert users.
All four sections – reading, writing, speaking and listening – will be allocated their own band score, and the overall score will be an average of 4.
If you are not happy with your results, then there is a provision to apply for a review of the test, which must be done within 6 weeks of sitting for the exam. Candidates will be required to pay an enquiry fee, which will be fully refunded if any discrepancies are found. Additionally, a new TRF will be mailed.
