Intermediate Sanskrit Vocabulary and Phrases Course:
This is the second course of the Learn Sanskrit Proficiency Certificate Program, where you will build on your knowledge of the language. You will focus on mastering the Devanagari script, learning correct Sanskrit pronunciation and recognizing domain-specific words, genders, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, numbers, subhashitams (wise sayings), stories, and rhymes beginning with the alphabets.
The course covers a range of topics, including pronouns (sarvanAmapadAni), persons (puruShAH), numbers (vachanAni), gender (lingAH), and indeclinables (avyayAni). You will practice constructing basic sentences through simple conversations and learn frequently used verbs and words with interrogative potential.
You will also learn the Sanskrit numerals from 1 to 100 and the basics of the present and past tenses, direct address, and adding new nouns, pronouns, and verbs to your vocabulary.
